Lights!

Lights are in and for the most part up! There's a few things they have to tweak but for the most part, I love the lights!! It's starting to really look like a house! The bottom picture is my mudroom and I think I'm in love! :)

House Update # 3

The house is still coming along. We are hoping we'll be in the house in the next month or so. Our builder said we'll be in by the end of January but it seems like I've heard that before! ;) I've at least gotten smart enough to look around at the progress and be honest with myself about the reality of a move-in date!

Anyway, in no particular order, here's the latest! *We've had some really crummy weather so I take no responsibility for the bad pictures*

The hallway looking from the stairs toward the living room - I am in love with the floors although I am pretty certain I will hate myself when I have to actually keep them clean! But they are really beautiful in person!

The living room...

The office...I think this is my favorite room so far. I am in love with the ceiling! And my closet doors - they were actually my second choice but the first ones were back ordered so we picked these and I am so glad. I love them!

Looking into the kitchen. We still don't have any cabinets thanks to the holidays!

Looking into the dining room from the living room.

Looking into the entry way from the living room

The outside entry way

Madeline's room - it's much lighter in person - it looks really purple in pictures but it is such a sweet color! We ordered a white chandelier for her room, and I had her furniture redone before we left Texas to a slightly distressed white. I can't wait to see her room all put together! They're almost done with the window seat now!

Back porch

This is about the best picture of the real color of the brick. I love it!

Still waiting on stucco and garage doors on the outside!

That's the gist of it. The paint on the inside looks different in every single picture, but it turned out exactly how I hoped it would. Sometimes it looks gray to me and sometimes it looks brown. It's not too light but it's not too dark. I worried at first about painting the ceilings but I really love the way they turned out. I am not sure on the columns - I'm still deciding if I like them. SO many choices and you never know what it's really going to look like til its done! We are so excited and SO ready to move in!!!

Maybe one day I'll catch up on blogging...we had an okay Christmas. Madeline came down with the flu the night before Christmas Eve and we all got it. Hers turned into an ear and sinus infection before it was all over. It was a long couple of weeks. But we're on the upswing and just can't wait for the year ahead!
